Zhe YuanZhe Yuan is an assistant professor at Zhejiang University.
Zhe graduated from University of Toronto (Ph.D.), UBC (M.A.) and Peking University (B.A.). Before joining Zhejiang University, he worked at Alibaba Group as an economist. Zhe's specialty is Industrial Organization and Digital Economy with research interest in network economy (airline network and telecommunication network), platform growth (search engine and recommendation systems design, AI adoption), platform governance (data value/privacy information design/platform mechanism design). His paper was published in top journals such as the American Economic Journal-Microeconomics and Management Science. He has led a NSFC (youth) project and participated in several major projects. He received multiple awards, including the 2023 The Chinese Economists Society "Gregory Chow Best Paper Award" and the 2016 European Industrial Economics Society "Young Economist Paper Award". Zhe's recent study includes platform mechanism design and how AI adoption affects market participants. Zhe uses field experiment, structural modelling techniques to answer economic questions and also provide managerial suggestions to cooperative companies. |
